Catch Exeter's Skin Angels this summer
Skin Angels, a group of campaigning beauty therapists from Exeter’s Purity Boutique Spa, will be popping up at various events across Exeter and Devon over the coming months.
The team, led by Purity’s owner Mariam Badavi, will be at Bicton Fest, a 3-day music festival taking place at Bicton College between 29th and 31st August, where they will provide festival goers with advice on how to stay safe in the sun.
The team will also be the Exeter Golf and Country Club’s annual Pro Am competition and have been approached by Exeter City Council to be on hand at this year’s Tour of Britain, where stage 5 of the tour will finish in Exeter’s High Street on Thursday 11th September.
Sam Bennett, Membership Manager at Exeter Golf and Country Club, says: “We are looking forward to welcoming the Skin Angels to our Pro-Am event, which is Exeter Golf and Country Club’s biggest golf day of the year. As the participants are outside all day, it’s really important that they understand how to protect their skin from the sun."
Mariam says: “The Skin Angels love getting out and about and meeting members of the public. We chat to people about the importance of wearing sun protection all year round and demonstrate the best techniques for application.”
Skin Angels will also be out and about throughout 2014 visiting schools, colleges and other events across Devon.
The UK charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, is backing Mariam in her efforts.
