TV star to open Exeter retirement village
TV presenter, Nicki Chapman, who hosts the popular Escape to the Country programme will launch the first show homes at Exeter’s only retirement village, Millbrook Village on Saturday 6th September.
Nicki Chapman - who first hit our screens when she appeared as a judge on Popstars and Pop Idol in 2001 - is now a well known presenter on many homes and gardens TV shows including Escape to the Country, Escape to the Continent, Holiday and Wanted Down Under.
Nicki will celebrate the opening of the long awaited show homes with a ribbon cutting ceremony and take a tour of the luxury cottages and apartments at Millbrook Village. The launch of the show homes will take place from Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th September and will be the first opportunity for interested parties to get a feel for the rest of the high specification homes designed exclusively for the over 55s.
The launch event will run from 10am to 4pm and with potential interest being so high, guests are encouraged to book their appointment to view by calling 01392 275335 or emailing sales@millbrookvillage.co.uk. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity to find out more about the properties and lifestyle this prestigious new village provides.
“We’re really delighted Nicki will be able to join us to officially launch the new show homes on Saturday 6th September. We’re already receiving strong interest in the launch event as people are eager to view the high standard of our properties for themselves” said Iwan Jones, managing director of Renaissance Villages.
Following the highly successful opening of the marketing suite in 2013 which was attended by around 200 people, to avoid queues and congestion, arrangements have been made with the nearby Buckrell Lodge Hotel on Topsham Road, where booked guests are invited to park their cars and enjoy complimentary refreshments whilst they wait for a car service to take them the short distance to Millbrook Village.
Millbrook Village is a first of its kind for Exeter, which is not currently home to any other retirement villages. Located in a peaceful setting close to the river and within easy reach of the city centre, the new development will provide a selection of luxuriously appointed two- and three-bedroom cottages and one- and two-bedroom apartments for the over 55s. The properties are set within secure, landscaped grounds and centred around a private clubhouse, Springbok Hall, featuring a superb range of country club style facilities, including a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness and health suite, library, medical centre and more. Over 40% of the Properties in phase one have already been secured by eager buyers, but further cottages and apartments are available to reserve off-plan, with prices starting from £340,000.
