As the host venue for the Food and Drink Devon Awards 2014, Exeter Golf and Country Club is delighted to share the news that the shortlist has been announced.

The Food and Drink Devon Awards, which have been running for three years, exist to celebrate the culinary successes of the county. Dedicated entirely to Devon food and drink producers, retailers and hospitality businesses, the prestigious awards offer platinum, gold and silver accreditations for winners to display on their menus, marketing and packaging. The robust measures undertaken to find winners for the three categories, Product, Hospitality and Retail, include thorough assessment by an independent judging panel made up of industry experts.

Chris Jones, General Manager of Exeter Golf and Country Club and Board Member of Food and Drink Devon said that this year’s entrants have set the bar higher than ever before.

“We are delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2014 Food and Drink Devon Awards and thrilled that it includes so many Devon based businesses that most people will recognise. Devon is a leading light in food and drink production and it is inspirational to see these bountiful products being embraced by our local hospitality and retail businesses, along with their customers from both near and far. As a team, Food and Drink Devon is incredibly proud of all the businesses who have made the shortlist and excited about announcing the overall winners at the grand awards ceremony, here at Exeter Golf and Country Club in October. Of course, I will be proud to wear both my hats that evening and am looking forward to it very much.”
