Two new associates for law firm
Leading South West family law specialist The Family Law Company has announced two new associates for its Exeter team.
Gemma Sparks and Helen Trott have been awarded the role of associate in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the firm.
Gemma studied for her legal qualification whilst working full time before joining The Family Law Company in 2009 as a legal executive to concentrate on this area of law. Alongside experience in all aspects of family law, Gemma specialises in working with clients affected by domestic violence and those facing access disputes.
Helen joined the firm as a solicitor in 2012 after gaining general experience in family law. She has a particular focus on the law relating to children including child protection. Helen is an accredited children lawyer through the Law Society’s Children Panel and is able to support and represent children and vulnerable or ‘at risk’ adults during care proceedings in court.
Director Stephen Sowden said: “Our warmest congratulations to both our new associates who are valuable members of the team in Exeter. Gemma and Helen have made a significant input to The Family Law Company in the time that they have been with us.
“Helen has brought passion and commitment to our care team, and Gemma’s expertise in private law children and domestic abuse cases makes her a valuable asset to the firm. They both thoroughly deserve these promotions.”
