
Topsham Road closed after serious collision

Topsham Road in Exeter has been closed following a serious collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry.
Emergency sevices were called to the scene of the collision at around 1pm today.
The road has been closed between Countess Wear Roundabout and Burnthouse Lane.
Police have set up diversions at Barrack Road and Countess Wear, and buses are being diverted.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach said: “Due to a serious incident on Topsham Road, the section between Burnthouse Lane and Countess Wear is currently closed to traffic.
“For the duration of this closure our services will divert outbound via Burnthouse Lane, Rifford Road, Middlemoor and the bypass, returning to their normal route at Countess Wear roundabout. Inbound this diversion will apply in reverse.”
This diversion affects services J/K/T, Hop2, X38, 39, X46, 57, X64.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
