Charge your car at Sainsbury's in Exeter
Tesla has opened a new supercharger station at Sainsbury’s supermarket in Exeter.
The Pinhoe Road store is one of three Sainsbury’s stores in the South of England to install Tesla superchargers.
These latest additions to the network are part of a rapid expansion that will soon allow Model S owners to drive anywhere in the country.
Georg Ell, Tesla’s UK Country Director, said: “We’re excited to partner with Sainsbury’s to continue the expansion of the country’s fast-charging network for long-distance travel in electric cars. With Sainsbury’s, Model S drivers can stop for a charge, use the Supermarket café, do a quick shop and get on their way again.”
Paul Crewe, Sainsbury’s Head of Sustainability, said: “I’m delighted to see these new facilities at our stores, making it easier than ever for customers to use electric vehicles, charging as they shop.”
Tesla plans full UK coverage by the end of next year to enable travel throughout the British Isles and has energised more than 300 Supercharger stations with over 1,600 Superchargers worldwide, making it both the fastest-growing and largest fast-charging network in the world. In Europe, there are 129 Supercharger stations with more than 670 Superchargers.
