Exeter Library to live stream TEDx
Due to massive public demand TEDxExeter has found an additional venue for the public to attend this year's conference.
The talks will be streamed live from the Northcott Theatre to an audience of 80 people in Exeter Library's Rougemont Room.
Tickets for the 2015 conference on 24 April 2015 sold out in a record two hours when they went on sale in December. Concessionary tickets went in 15 minutes! There are currently more than 100 people on the waiting list and they will be given the first chance to apply for tickets for the Library livestream.
"We are aware that the appetite for what we are doing here in Exeter is growing hugely," said TEDxExeter organiser Claire Kennedy. "It's been called the 'hottest ticket in town', 'the most inspiring day of the year'."
Even though it's all freely available online after the event, there¹s something special about viewing the talks with like-minded people who are passionate and positive.
The Library livestream of TEDxExeter will enable more of our local community to feel the buzz, connect with new people, share their responses and get excited about possibilities.

The TEDxExeter theme this year is Taking the Long View. It reflects the belief that great ideas know no boundaries of time. Speakers will look back to see what we can learn from history and through that prism challenge short-termism and offer new perspectives to approach the future.
The speakers will explore big themes. They will help the audience to consider how making our mark helps us make meaning in our lives.
They will hear about Magna Carta, its signing and its legacy and think again about our justice system and prisons, and about security in its widest sense.
They will learn how protecting people and planet offers real hope for saving the rainforest.
Jack Monroe will speak about food poverty and hunger reduction. Clive Stafford Smith will speak about the death penalty.
There will be a call for teenage mental wellbeing to be prioritised. They will hear about how using technology to track disease can offer hope in the face of flu, and ebola and there will be magic!

Tickets for the livestream will be available free of charge from The Northcott Theatre box office. They will first be offered to people on the waiting list, and any remaining tickets will be available from Monday 23 February 2015.
