We’re counting down towards April 23rd, children everywhere are putting on their Iron Man masks and wearing their Hulk gloves. The release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron is a huge event in the movie (and real) world and it is likely to become the highest grossing superhero movie of all time, beating its own previous instalment The Avengers which took a mammoth 1.5 billion at the box office in 2012.

Here in Exeter it will be screened first at the Vue cinema at one minute past midnight on April 23rd, that showing has now started selling tickets and they are already going fast. Reviews for the much anticipated movie have yet to start coming through but fans are already getting hyped up and as each day passes that hype reaches new levels.

The latest Avengers flick will see the superhero team go up against Ultron (played by James Spader) the villainous robot created by Tony Stark to protect the world, of course it all goes wrong and Ultron turns on his creator, believing that to truly protect the world The Avengers must be destroyed. Fighting an army of robots and an intelligence far greater than any of theirs The Avengers will find themselves in a corner and with very few options left open to them.

The film will see all the regular heroes return with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, with Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, all being put back into battle once again. However this time there will be two new arrivals that join the aforementioned heroes, twin team of Pietro and Wanda Maximoff better known as Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver, they will be played by Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson respectively.

There will be a few surprises in Age of Ultron with many other actors turning up for supporting roles, Andy Serkis (who played Gollum in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy) will portray Ulysses Klaw, Paul Bettany will be The Vision and Thomas Kretschmann will be Baron Von Strucker. Plus returning to reprise roles will be Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Anthony Mackie as Flacon and Don Cheadle as Tony Stark’s best friend War Machine.

The movie will also lead into next years massively awaited Captain America: Civil War, which will see Iron Man Fighting Captain America over political differences….and the news that Spider-Man could finally make his first appearance inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been used to hype up what happens in Age of Ultron up further.

For now we will all have to keep waiting for release day which is now under a month away, as soon as the movie hits we will bring you the review.
