Exeter BID board announced

Results are now in of the Exeter BID Company Board Ballot to select three new Board members in the City Centre. 

Jon-Paul Hedge, editor of the Express and Echo will represent Gandy Street, Harlequins & Queen Street, James Clark, store manager of Marks & Spencer will represent the Guildhall & Lower High Street and Stephen Auty manager of Specsavers will represent High Street North/West and Castle Street).

Applications were received and counted by solicitors Stephens Scown and all BID levy payers were eligible to vote on their preferred representative for each area.  The ballot papers went out to BID levy payers on Monday 20th April and the closing date was Wednesday 29th April.

The new members will join already appointed Board members Helen Scholes, marketing manager at Stagecoach South West, Wayne Pearce, centre director at Princesshay, Ben Barlaba, The LXS @ Centre Stage, Mattie Richardson, owner of Bunyip Beads & Buttons, Patrick Cunningham, director at Exeter Phoenix and David Goodchild, owner of Cavern Club and will attend their first BID Board meeting being held on 7th May.

A representative from stakeholders Exeter City Council, Devon County Council and Exeter Chamber of Commerce will also take a place on the BID Board. These representatives are yet to be confirmed.

One of the first tasks for the Exeter BID Board will be to interview applicants for the role of Exeter BID CEO.
