Dungeons and Dragons meet historical re-enactment in this new Live Action Role-Playing game. Be the legendary hero or heroine you always wanted to be, fight monsters and hone your skill in battle as the Neothera Saga bursts onto the scene in the Southwest!

Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) sees participants physically act out their characters' actions. As a player you will pursue goals within a fictional game world represented by the beautiful Caddihoe Scout Camp on the outskirts of Exeter while interacting with each other in character (acting without a script). The outcome of your actions are mediated by game rules and determined by consensus among players.

When taking part in a Neothera LARP event you perform all of the actions of the character you have chosen to play rather than as yourself. You will wear an authentic, medieval or Steampunk style costume, and arm yourself with appropriate realistic, foam weapons to defend yourself and your comrades from those who seek to destroy or claim the realms of Neothera in the name of evil. You decide how your character should act, define their goals, personality and history.

The Neothera Saga promises to offer a fun and sociable atmosphere for all participants, whilst not forgetting the focus that lies upon playing the game itself. Storytellers and musicians will entertain you and a medieval feast will be provided on the Saturday evening.

Participants must be 16 and above to take part. A parent or guardian must sign permissions forms for participants under 18 years of age in order to participate.
