With exciting expansion plans ahead, Energy Hair Design has been investing in the development of home grown talent to expand their team.

The Darts Farm based salon has recently been celebrating the graduation of four of their apprentices in NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing – working closely with The Learning & Skills Group.

Graduate stylists; Sophie Tregale 18, Ellie Phillips 17, Grace Mangeng 20 have all recently passed their NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing which has involved all aspects of basic hairdressing. They have now started their NVQ Level 3 which involves more advanced colouring and cutting techniques including barbering.

On completion of their Level 3 NVQ they will achieve Stylist status, enabling them to build a column of clients in their own right. Ellie Phillips says “I’ve really enjoyed being able to work ‘on the job’ whilst doing my NVQ, it’s allowed me to keep up to date with all the current trends and I’m literally buzzing about going to the next stage and doing my NVQ Level 3”

Graduate Stylist; Roxy Thorne, 20 has recently passed her NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing and in June she will be promoted to Stylist. New to the team is Assistant, Marcus Chung 18 who will be embarking on an NVQ Level 2 barbering course. This will allow the salon to focus and expand upon the booming men’s grooming sector.

Nathan, Managing Director of Energy comments “Having the right set of skills is vital within the hairdressing industry, and our trainees are such a valuable asset to the business. Home grown talent is the future face of our business so it’s important that we invest in our trainees at this stage in their career”

Energy Hair has also recently recruited a new Senior Stylist Joanne Synms who has been in the industry for 25 years. With further growth plans ahead, the salon is also looking for experienced Senior Stylists to join the team.
