Charities invited to apply to become Michelmores’ next Charity of the Year

South West law firm Michelmores LLP is seeking applications from local charities who would like to become their next Charity of the Year, starting January 2016.

Over the last two years Michelmores has raised over £50,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support through events such as the firm's annual 5K Charity Run, coffee mornings, a Charity Art Auction and many more.

This year, the submission criteria has changed, and Michelmores is looking to support a charity local to its head office in Exeter.

The main requirement for the charity looking to becoming Michelmores' Charity of the Year is that it can provide the firm's staff with volunteering opportunities throughout the year: The firm actively encourages its people to take a day away from the office to give something back to the local community.

The relationship between Michelmores and the chosen charity will be for 12 months initially, with potential for this to increase to two years. During this time, the majority of the firm's community initiatives will be in aid of the Charity of the Year, with exception of days such as Red Nose Day and Children in Need.
