Blundell’s School is thrilled with the excellent provisional GCSE results achieved by their Year 11 students. In a year group of 101, there was a 30% increase on last year in the number of A* grades, with an A* rate of 26%.

More than half the year group gained the highest grades with an impressive A*/A score of 54% and nearly 40% of the year group gained 8 A*/A  or more.

Twenty pupils gained 6A* or above with the following pupils gaining a tremendous 11A* or more: George Hill, Francis Huntingford, Hannah Le Gassick, Ennea Miller-Hunt, Caspar Montgomery, Harriet Nash, Rosalie Sanders, Archie Stoneman and Francesca Thornton-Wood.  98% of pupils gained at least five A*-C grades.

The Head, Nicola Huggett said: "I am truly delighted with these excellent GCSE results.

"They are the consequence of hard work and determination by a group of talented pupils and their teachers who have gone every extra mile to support them.

"At Blundell’s we pride ourselves on being able to have it all – terrific academic results alongside an exciting programme of music, drama, sport and extra activities.

"Today’s results really show that the busier our pupils are, the more they can achieve.

"I congratulate them on their results which will make the next step in their education with us all the more exciting.”
