Lane closures after Telegraph Hill crash
Emergency services were called to a collision on Telegraph Hill this morning (31 August).
A spokesperson for Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said: “Fire crews from Topsham, Middlemoor and Danes Castle were mobilised to reports of a collision involving one vehicle on the A380 at around 8.30am.
“Crews found one person trapped within the vehicle and used hydraulic cutting equipment to release.
“The casualty was left in the care of the Ambulance service.”
The road was closed, Torquay-bound, for around 30 minutes, but was reopened just after 9am. One lane remains closed in both directions between the A38 (Splatford Split) and B3192 (Ashcombe) for emergency repairs.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
