Last week, a greatly prized bike was stolen from a resident at a Buddhist Centre in Exeter.

The bike, which was chained securely to a metal pipe, belonged to a keen cyclist who was devastated to find a destroyed chain and no bike in the morning.

The cyclist has started a campaign to find the stolen bike.

The distinctive bike looks like that pictured below and the frame number is A350804388; if you see it please call the police on 101 and quote the crime reference number CR068034/15.

The resident has not yet given up hope for its safe return, but has started fundraising partly to replace the cherished bike and partly to support the charity re-cycle.org that provides a means of transport and development to communities in Africa.

If the bike turns up, she is planning to donate all the contributions to re-cycle.org and bake a cake of choice for the finder. https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/save-my-bike
