GAP provides the vehicle to a complete hire solution

GAP Hire Solutions is proving that offering eight specialist hire divisions has real benefits for its customers.

GAP’s Plymouth depot, which specialises in the hire of plant, tools and lifting equipment, recently instigated the hire of a selection of vehicles from GAP’s Vehicle Hire division, offering our customers a one-stop shop for their hire needs.

Glanville Environmental, a customer who already hires plant, tools and survey equipment from GAP, has recently won a lucrative contract for South West Water. They were looking to add new vehicles to their fleet to assist with delivery of the contract and General Manager of Plymouth Plant & Tool Hire, Adam Williams, mentioned GAP’s Vehicle Hire division. Glanville was impressed that they could hire brand new vehicles from their existing equipment hirer, making procedures simpler by having one point of contact for all of their hire needs as well as a streamlined payment process.

Adam commented: ‘We feel that one of our greatest advantages as a hire company is that we are able to offer our customers one point of contact for their hire needs. Glanville is already an esteemed customer at our depot in Plymouth and with the establishment of our new Vehicle Hire division we were able to offer additional products backed by the exceptional customer service that they were already used to receiving from GAP.’

Glanville has placed an initial order of 9 vehicles and will look to increase this number once they understand their exact vehicle requirements. The vehicles were tailored to the customer’s exact specifications – GAP Vehicle Hire built a purpose-made racking system, added chapter 8 livery, a hot and cold-water sink, tow bar and beacons. This allowed Glanville to go to work with a fully equipped vehicle straightaway. The company has recently won the repair and maintenance contract at South West Water and look forward to continuing to work with GAP to make the contract a success.

GAP Vehicle Hire was set up in 2014 to offer the long-term hire of bespoke commercial vehicles.
