Be prepared for the January gales!
We've had freezing temperatures, torrential rain and this week we'll have another weather phenomenon to deal with - gales.
Forecasters say we are in for a wet and windy week although there is some good news... the temperature is unlikely to dip below six degrees at night.
The Met Office forecast is as follows
Monday:
A chilly start with early brightness in the east, but soon clouding over with strong to gale force winds bringing outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, especially through the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 11 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Heavy rain and strong to gale force winds on Tuesday, clearing to brighter, more showery conditions for Wednesday and Thursday but remaining windy. Temperatures around or a little above average.
Not quite the news you wanted for a Monday morning, we know but at least if you remember your umbrella, you won’t get caught out!!
