Police investigate serious sexual assault in Exeter

Police have launched an investigation following a report of a serious sexual assault on Okehampton Road, Exeter early this morning (Tuesday 17th November).

The victim is a local man in his 20’s and is currently being supported by specialist officers.

A cordon has been set up in the area including the public toilets as scenes of crime officers undertake forensic searches.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the Okehampton Road area between 1-4am this morning.

Police would also like to speak to a man who may hold vital information to the attack. He is described as white, aged in his mid 20’s, 6’1” to 6’2” tall, of muscular build, and wearing a black tracksuit top with a zip down the front and a hood attached, black tracksuit bottoms with zipped pockets and Nike Air trainers.
