The Pegasus Trio: Music For Christmas

The Pegasus Trio is a new ensemble formed by three professional musicians living in the Exeter region. Trained at top European conservatoires, the trio share extensive performing experience, both in the concert hall and at high-end events. The combination of voice, piano and violin gives a unique opportunity to explore and arrange a wealth of repertoire, whilst the sounds of voice and violin complement each other beautifully.

The trio is has just completed a first series of recitals which included music for violin and piano, operatic arias, solo piano music and some wonderful pieces for violin, voice and piano.

“Such was the professionalism, audience connection and humour, it was impossible to know what emotion I would feel next – deeply moved, blown away, laughter.”

The Christmas programme will feature a wealth of seasonal music including Must the Winter Come so Soon by Samuel Barber, arias from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Handel’s Messiah, movements from the Nutcracker Concert Suite for solo piano and Shostakovich’s Three Fantastic Dances, Svendson Romance for Violin and the Largo from Winter by Vivaldi.
