Established all-female network, Ladies do Latte, held its first Exeter event in the heart of the city on Tuesday 1st  March at ‘Circa 1924’.

Responding to member needs, organisers Ashley Petrons and Christelle Bonnel of Make it Marketing chose to host the event at lunchtime, rather than the traditional mid-morning meeting. Christelle says, “Being marketers through and through, we have been asking members what they would like from the network. Of course, you can never please everyone, but by at least asking we’re in with a much better chance of success.”

Ladies Do owner, Ashley, agrees “The proof was in the overwhelming success of our first Exeter event since acquiring the network in September 2015. For the first time, we had to turn people away because the 30 person capacity filled up so fast!”

Keen to be hosting events that would appeal to both long standing members and new audiences, the Ladies Do team settled on sampling the brand new Skandel@Circa lunch menu. This Scandinavian themed pop up 2 course lunch fitted the bill perfectly in terms of being something new and exciting to try.

The event delighted on all levels, with sponsors Make it Marketing, providing welcome drinks and arranging it so attendees would all get the chance to mingle with different people throughout the meal. Katie Silverthorne, owner of Tags-On.com tweeted “Great fun with Ladies Do today at the networking lunch. Beautiful, tasty food by Circa1924”. Debbie Stewart, Partner in the Fruit Tree for Business LLP, commented “it was terrific food and company”.

Announced at the end of the event was Ladies Do’s intention of launching a network in Exeter city centre - full details to be shared soon.
