Poundland opens second store in Exeter

Poundland, Europe’s largest single price value general merchandise retailer, is pleased to announce a new store on the Exe Bridges Retail Park in Exeter which opened on 27 February.

The new Poundland store is the second in the area.

The new store is part of the company’s 99p conversion, following the buy-out in 2015.

Serving over seven million customers every week, Poundland offers an irresistible shopping experience where shoppers are guaranteed to find thousands of quality products in each store, including over 1,000 well-known brands, across 17 shopping categories including  food and drink, health and beauty, household, gardening, DIY, Pet, Stationery, Books, DVDs and Toys.

Poundland opened 60 new stores for the financial year end ending March 2015, creating approximately 1,600 jobs.

The new store will also raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of Poundland’s national partnership with the leading cancer care charity. All the money raised by the store will fund Macmillan’s vital services that help ensure that no one has to face cancer alone, since launching its partnership with Macmillan in 2009, Poundland has raised over £1.5 million for the charity.
