Singer songwriter Steve Knightley and instrumentalist Phil Beer in the band Show of Hands will mark their 25th anniversary with their 5th performance at The Royal Albert Hall in April 2017.

The band, originally from Devon have had an extremely successful career with their acoustic roots music, and will be accompanied on stage with their special guest, vocalist and double bass player Miranda Sykes.

Show of Hands are known for their genre hopping music which touches on rock, blues and country. Their success escalated after they were established on the internet and became an example of a successful cottage industry.

Both grew up on the River Exe and still live in Exeter, but have had the opportunity over the years to tour Europe, Canada, Australia, and India.

Steve, who is hailed one of the country’s best singer songwriters said: “Hiring somewhere as high profile as the Albert Hall is not something you undertake lightly and it’s a challenge we relish.”

The event will take place on Easter Sunday in April 2017, and the band are hoping to have another successful sell out with such a huge fan base.

Phil who has been named best musician of the year in 2011 said: “We have had four hugely memorable nights at the Albert Hall and it will be great to see so many of our fans under one roof again.”
