Come and see the amazing Exeter Book which has survived for over 1000 years. Drop in to Library & Archives to see this amazing collection of Anglo-Saxon poems. While you’re there meet the archivist and ask her what parchment is made of (it’s rather disgusting!)

In the Chapter House, take part in our Anglo-Saxon themed activities. Make a shield or a brooch to take home, and see if you can work out the riddles of the Exeter Book. Then have a go at writing your own riddle with a quill pen on our fake parchment!

£2.50 per child which includes all activities. Suitable for all ages, no booking required for this drop-in activity.
