Police helicopter scrambled after firearms incident
The Exeter-based police helicopter was scrambled after an incident involving a firearm in Devon.
Officers set up a cordon and began a search in the Starpitten Grove of Torquay at 11pm yesterday (Monday).
Insp Mark Waldron, force incident manager and tactical firearms commander, told the Torquay Herald Express: "There is an ongoing incident. There has been an allegation of a serious nature in that location. We would ask that anybody who saw anything in that location at about 9.30pm this evening (Monday August 29) should contact us.
"There has been a minor injury. The incident does involve a firearm and we are looking for a number of individuals."
