Seven charged with attempted murder in Exeter

Police have charged seven men with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing in Exeter.

A police investigation was launched after reports of a stabbing at a property in the area of Lower Summerlands and Clifton Road, Exeter on Wednesday 6 April.

The following men have all been charged with attempted murder:

William Toohey aged 19 from Liverpool

Matthew Henney aged 20 from Liverpool

Liam O’Brian aged 21from Liverpool

Callum Cheetham aged 21 from Liverpool

Bart Wrighton aged 21from Castle Cary, Somerset

Drew Morgan aged 27 from Stoke Hill, Exeter

Carl Maynard aged 38 from Exeter

All seven men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court on the 11th of October.

The 19-year-old victim has since been released from hospital.

As part of the investigation, Karl Muff aged 47 from Smythen Street, Exeter was also charged with an unrelated possession of a bladed article and being in possession of a class-A drug, and is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court on the 27th September.
