Bradleys raises over £4,400 for Exeter Deaf Academy
Last year, over 200 staff across 33 branches of Bradleys Estate Agents in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset tackled a range of fundraising activities to raise money for Exeter Deaf Academy.
Inspired by Deaf young people and their achievements, Bradleys pledged to spend a year fundraising for the Academy’s New Build project. In 2019, Exeter Deaf Academy will be relocating from their current site on Topsham Road in Exeter to a groundbreaking purpose-built Academy in Exmouth. The new Deaf Academy will be a world-class facility which will change the lives of Deaf students, bring communities together and enable families to thrive.
Bradleys officially launched their charity partnership with Exeter Deaf Academy at their Annual Conference last year following a visit to the charity by the estate agents’ Directors and Senior Managers.

Their fundraising events included:
- Three brave Bradley’s staff skydiving 15,000 feet raising over £1,500.
- A Christmas raffle at the Bradleys Awards Evening raising over £700.
- Bradleys Exmouth branch hosting a quiz night raising £300.

Bradleys Marketing Manager Kai Logan said ‘We are delighted to have raised this fantastic amount of money and we know how important this will be to Exeter Deaf Academy. I want to thank the staff across the region who came up with all sorts of weird and wonderful ways of raising money. We wish the Deaf Academy the very best with their new build in Exmouth and look forward to seeing it complete in 2019.’
Exeter Deaf Academy Director of Development, Steve Morton, added: ‘We owe a huge thank you to Bradleys who really got behind us with phenomenal fundraising efforts. We have enjoyed working with them and their support has given us a fantastic platform for raising awareness of the Deaf Academy’s work and our New Build project. The help we receive from corporate partners such as Bradleys is hugely important to us’.
