Tesco Extra Exeter Vale and Elvis help coffee club celebrate anniversary
A popular coffee club is to celebrate its sixth anniversary with the King of Rock and Roll, thanks to Tesco Extra Exeter Vale.
Countess Wear Coffee Club, based at the 100 Club, Wear Barton Road, Exeter, has become a key part of the local community.
Tesco Extra Exeter Vale marked its anniversary by putting on an Elvis Dance party featuring an Elvis impersonator and his eight-piece dream band.
Tesco’s support for the event was co-ordinated by the store’s Community Champion Jo Evans.
Jo and volunteers from the Russell Way store were on hand to help set up for the show and provide the refreshments.
She said: “The coffee club has become a great success over the last six years and we thought it was a good idea to mark its anniversary with something memorable.”
Maureen Downing, chairman of Countess Wear Coffee Club said: “We are extremely grateful to Tesco for the help and support it has given us and the event was a great success.”
