It has been six months since the fire on Cathedral Green.

To mark the occasion Exeter City Council has released some of the CCTV footage from the night which has never been seen before.

A spokesman said: "We would again like to thank Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service and Devon & Cornwall Police for the amazing job they did on the night. We would also like to thank the public in Exeter for their continued support of the city centre. Please feel free to share our short film."

At its height, almost every fire station in Devon and Somerset was involved in tackling the blaze.

Crews endured grueling and lengthy shifts as they attempted to bring the flames under control.

Emergency crews were alerted at 5.20am on Friday 28th October to a large fire affecting ‘The Gallery’ building on Cathedral Green in Exeter.
