Charity Golf Day to support thousands of children across Devon

Life Education Wessex are calling on golfers to join their Charity Golf Day on Thursday 8th June 2017 at Woodbury Park Golf Club, Exeter, to raise vital funds to support health, wellbeing and drug education for local children.

The golf day is taking place thanks to the sponsorship of CAP Ceilings & Partitioning Ltd of Exeter and they are inviting other local business and community supporters to join in with other opportunities to sponsor holes and golf buggies.

They are looking for teams of 4 to take part in a stableford competition, there will be a ‘hole in one’ competition to win a brand new car, great team and individual prizes, ‘beat the pro’, nearest the pin, longest drive competitions as well as a fantastic charity auction and raffle.  Entry price of £250 per team of 4 includes entry to all competitions, bacon baps and coffee on arrival, dinner, prizes and much more!  Dinner guests are welcome.

Life Education Wessex teaches children to make informed and healthy choices as they grow up about alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and food as well as the importance of sleep, exercise and feelings. They also help pupils to acquire life skills and learn to be assertive to help them cope with bullying and peer group pressure.

Their specially trained Educators provide lessons adapted for the age of the children from age 3 to 13 years.  Visiting nearly 50,000 children every year it provides education that grows with the children, building upon the previous year’s knowledge.

The Charity currently educates nearly 8,000 children across Devon and is keen to reach more children across the county with their message of healthy living.

All money raised will help to support Devon’s children to lead safe, healthy and happy lives.
