University of Exeter appoints Director of Campus Infrastructure and Operational Support Services
The University of Exeter has appointed Craig Nowell as Director of Campus Infrastructure and Operational Support Services. He will join the University in March 2018.
This is a new role for the University and comprises overall responsibility for Campus Services which includes the University’s Sport, Residential Services, Retail and Catering, Facilities Management and Event Exeter teams.
Estate Services, which includes those developing the University’s Estate and the award winning Grounds team, along with Exeter IT who support the University’s IT infrastructure and investment programme to deliver new and enhanced technology-based services in support of the University’s strategic goals.
Craig will play a pivotal role in a number of new investments for the University including new student residences at East Park.
Craig joins Exeter from Swansea University, where he is currently the Director of Estates and Facilities Management and the Director of Corporate Responsibility. During his time at Swansea, Craig has been responsible for a wide and dynamic portfolio, most notably leading the development and implementation of Swansea University’s new £450m, 65 acre, Science and Innovation Campus.
In addition to his extensive experience in Estates and Facilities Management, Craig has previously held roles at the University of Reading and within the nuclear power, nuclear defence, as well as the steel manufacturing and process sectors.
