Devon Mammal Group is holding a charity auction on the evening of Thursday 29th March. They are raising money for the Devon Harvest Mouse Project – a citizen science project that is looking at the distribution of the harvest mouse (Micromys minutus) across the county. The surveys are conducted over the winter months, looking for the abandoned summer breeding nests, when they are much easier to spot. Over the last few months Devon Mammal group have searched across Devon and have trained over 100 people in the survey techniques.

Now they are looking to move the Project on to the next phase, looking at populations, habitat types and management techniques. For that they need your help! There’s a range of fabulous auction lots up for grabs, all of which can be viewed on their website.
