One Voice Media staff to walk 18 Miles for charity
Nine of the One Voice Media & PR team will be taking on an 18 mile walk, The Templer Way, on 23rd June, fundraising for The Daisy Garland charity which supports a colleague and her four year old daughter, nicknamed Taz, who has a rare form of drug-resistant epilepsy.
This incredible charity is based in Totnes and operates across the UK, supporting families living with drug-resistant epilepsy.
The Daisy Garland funds ketogenic dietitians in NHS hospitals across the UK, each dietician costs up to £47,000 a year, and also provides monitors to help keep children with epilepsy safe while they sleep.
Sharon Foxwell, One Voice Media Director and Taz’s mum said: “Since 2016 it’s been a juggle of meds and Taz’s epilepsy is now classed as ‘drug resistant’. She is now 4 and continues to have abnormal brain activity and seizures.
"Taz is a fabulous little girl (frequently described as a ‘livewire’) with endless energy and an extremely busy brain. I am so looking forward to this walk, not only to raise money and awareness for this amazing charity but also to enjoy a day out with such a fantastic team!”
