For this year’s third edition of the Sea Change Festival at Totnes, south Devon, a new partnership with pioneering arts organisation Dartington Hall will see the festival expanding into the historic 14th-century estate.

Picturesque Dartington will house the festival’s new Offshore main stage, in collaboration with Sharp’s Brewery, hosting a range of internationally acclaimed musicians, artists and DJs until late in the evenings of Friday 24 and Saturday 25 August 2018.

Founded and curated by Totnes’ much-loved record shop, Drift Records, Sea Change presents some very special guests in a host of local venues across the two days. The Drift curated programme mixes new and established talent with an eclectic array of cutting-edge artists from glitchy electronica to dusty Americana and soulful techno to psychedelic dreamscapes.

Located at the stunning Dartington Hall, the new Offshore stage is set in the fields near Foxhole and will welcome an eclectic range of acts to this special backdrop, supported by Sharp’s Brewery’s Offshore, a refreshing Cornish Pilsner that takes its inspiration from the South West’s passion for surfing.

Reflecting those rare moments when the wind turns offshore, creating perfectly clean waves, the beer’s tropical fruit and herbal lemon aromas, combined with its clean, crisp taste and brisk finish, delivers unique summer refreshment.

Friday night on the Offshore stage will bear witness to Surfing Magazines, a new garage-rock group consisting of two thirds of The Wave Pictures and one half of Slow Club as well as Andrew Weatherall, often cited as one of the world's finest DJs. As a spectacular finale to the night, a specially commissioned live headline collaboration between acclaimed Japanese noise band Bo Ningen and the legendary former CAN vocalist Damo Suzuki will be experienced.

Saturday 25th August will kick-off with Manchester-based pop band Virginia Wing whose new 'Ecstatic Arrow' LP was in the Guardian's best 2018 albums so far, followed by a major coup for the festival, with five-piece psychedelic rock band Hookworms playing live. Electronic producer James Holden and

The Animal Spirits fusing electronics and spiritual jazz and Erased Tapes' hugely talented producer Rival Consoles will complete the night with full visual support throughout.

The Dartington partnership will see an expanded version of last year’s hugely popular Summersisle restaurant, run by Patrick Hanna, Head Chef of Riverford's esteemed Field Kitchen, alongside colleague Lizzie Wedderburn.

James Nicholls, Senior Brand Manager at Sharp’s Brewery, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting this year’s Sea Change evening experience at the stunning Dartington Hall with our Offshore Pilsner. It's an impressive and eclectic line-up that Rupert and the Drift Records team have brought together and we can't wait to delight the thirsty crowds with Offshore during this very special festival".

Sea Change founder, Rupert Morrison, said, "We consider every aspect of Sea Change very carefully and Sharp's really understand that none of us wants a hot pint of cooking lager! We've been really enjoying testing Sharp's Offshore pretty regularly over the last few months. Bars stocked with their new pilsner - and many other favourites from their repertoire - will be a great addition to our offering. We can't guarantee that it'll be sunny, but we have all the right drinks for when it is!"

Special tickets are on sale now for the Dartington evenings for £25 per person (excluding online booking fee) per night on the SeeTickets and Sea Change websites, and in person at Drift Records in Totnes. Book here: https://seachange.seetickets.com/event/sea-change-2018/various-venues-in...
