Dozens of fans celebrate Krispy Kreme store opening
Exeter’s Guildhall Shopping Centre opened its doors to a sweet new resident this morning, with the grand opening of Krispy Kreme’s 122nd UK store. Around 70 eager Krispy Kreme fans were in line, queuing from the early hours of the morning to get their hands on the freshly made treats.
Jammy enough to be first in line, and win themselves a year’s supply of doughnuts, was Dennis Janowski, who arrived at the shopping centre at 7.30 this morning.
Showing his excitement for the brand-new store, Dennis said: “It’s so exciting that Krispy Kreme has launched a store here. I was thrilled to be the first in line at the store and I’m so happy I’ve been awarded a year’s supply of doughnuts! I also can’t wait to get home and see what Krispy Kreme merchandise is in my goody bag!”
The first dozen people in the queue also bagged themselves a sweet prize, whilst on the spot prizes were dished out to happy customers throughout the day. Doughnut-fans then had the choice of treating themselves to 16 varieties of delicious, melt-in-the-mouth treats – including classic Original Glaze, which are made fresh daily.
Neil Williamson, Operations Director at Krispy Kreme, said “We’re so glad that the fans had fun at the brand new store opening. It’s been a great morning spreading the joy of Krispy Kreme throughout the shopping centre. Doughnut fans enjoyed having a go on our Krispy Kreme Buzz wire, bagging some tasty treats before the store opened.”
