Free microchipping for pets.
Cowick & St Thomas PCSO and CityVets have teamed up to promote responsible pet ownership by offering microchips completely free of charge. This is all possible due to the PCSO securing POCA (Proceeds of Crime Act) funds.
The microchips will be supplied by Pet Identity. The great thing about Pet Identity is that you can update any future changes for free.
The offer is open to all species, all ages. There is no requirement to be an existing CItyVets client, the offer is open to everyone.
I’m sure you're aware that it’s now a legal requirement to have your dog microchipped. Statistics show that there are around 1.8 million dogs not chipped which makes them untraceable if they go missing.
As well as going missing pets are also stolen. A microchip will help to prove ownership and reunite pets and owners.
Inserting a microchip is a quick and simple procedure. There is no need for sedation, the chip is inserted under the skin around the scruff of the neck, using a needle. It takes seconds.
The offer runs from Mon 29th Oct - Sat 3rd Nov at all four CityVets Practices around Exeter. Just ring to make an appointment.
CityVets practices are based in:
Alphington; 493999
Heavitree; 250000
St Thomas; 250000
Whipton; 465553
Please spread the word. You don't get much for free these days and this simple procedure will save a lot of heartache if your pet went missing.
