Promotion for dedicated family law specialist

A specialist family law solicitor has been promoted to senior associate solicitor at The Family Law Company.   

Imran Khodabocus, who is based in the company’s Exeter office, specialises in children and domestic violence cases.

After qualifying at a legal firm in Somerset, he joined The Family Law Company’s Children and Domestic Violence team in 2016 and became team leader later that year.

Imran says: “It’s a real honour to receive this promotion, as it highlights the faith that the company has in me for the long-term.

“Family law needs solicitors who can empathise with clients and children and as a family man I truly understand the stresses involved. Every situation is different and it can be a challenge to find a way through - I take real satisfaction finding workable solutions for families going through difficult times.”

As well as being a specialist in issues involving children and cases of domestic violence, Imran has the benefit of being a languages expert, having taken his degree in English Law with French and Spanish and studied in Lyon and Barcelona. He is also a German speaker.

He has also been deeply involved in supporting The Family Law Company’s presence in Taunton, where a weekly legal clinic is available to clients.
