Stagecoach South West temporarily withdraw Falcon coach service during Covid-19 lockdown

Bus company Stagecoach South West has announced that it is temporarily withdrawing its Falcon coach service that operates between Plymouth and Bristol. The service will be withdrawn from Sunday 5th April. The decision has come following the latest government and public health advice to stay at home and only travel if your journey is essential.

Stagecoach are working hard to maintain essential routes across their extensive South West network. The bus operator has been urging customers to submit their feedback on their temporary timetables to show their commitment to keeping the community and key workers connected. The feedback has resulted in a number of bus services being reinstated across the South West including routes 13, 19, 5B, 7A and 155.

Mike Watson, Managing Director of Stagecoach South West, said: “We have taken into account the needs of our customers, with heavily reduced patronage and an increasingly lesser need to currently serve Bristol Airport we feel it is right to focus on operating our local bus services to ensure key workers and essential shopping trips are connected at this time.

Myself and the team looks forward to reintroducing the service as soon as possible and thank our loyal customers be they commuters, students, day trippers and holidaymakers for their on-going support at this challenging time.”

The last journey from Bristol will operate on Sunday 5th April at 2015. The last journey from Plymouth will operate on Sunday 5th April at 1600.
