All the changes planned by Stagecoach to bus routes across Devon this September
From 6th September Stagecoach has got various timetables changes across their south west network. These changes will see Stagecoach increase the frequency of our some of their Exeter city services including service A which will see a frequency increase to every 15 minutes during the day, Monday to Saturday. The uplift will also see the popular I & J services increased to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday.
Stagecoach are also launching 3 brand new early morning buses that run 7 days a week. These special buses will operate as early as 03:45am, with connections made onto the RD&E, St David’s station and the Airport, as well as Exeter’s industrial estates and key distribution centres.
Stagecoach have responded to previous passenger feedback and rerouted the E1 and E2 services. The new route will see the route extended to serve Exeter High Street & Cheeke Street every 15 minutes. Some rural buses from Exeter’s surrounding commuter towns will also have some minor changes to improve the reliability and work with the school term times.
Mike Watson Managing Director at Stagecoach South West said “We have been closely monitoring our service levels and it’s very encouraging to see passengers returning to public transport. These changes have been a great opportunity for us to increase capacity where needed but also listen to our passengers and make the changes that affect our daily commuters.”
Stagecoach has also been working hard to reassure concerned passengers with additional school buses ahead of the back to school rush. Workly closely with Devon County Council there will be an additional 50 buses across the entire network, to help maintain social distancing on board normal services.
