Two brand new events happening in Exeter this month
This month will see Exeter bursting with activity with two brand new events, hosted by InExeter. A brand-new Indoor Market on Saturday 12th March located in Positive Light Projects on Sidwell Street is the first of a series of indoor market pop ups for the city and will see over 30 traders under one roof including Wild Hive, Handmade by Holly Ann and Artscribe.
Sunday 13th will see the first ever South Street Spring Green Festival, a community event that will give visitors the chance to explore the area and celebrate health and well-being. The event will shine a light on the history and community South Street has fostered and bring together traders and makers offering sustainable products.
Artist Scott Walker, is building an interactive art installation at the event, encouraging people attending to colour in their own section of a specially made South Street Spring Green Festival wall.
Lottie Stanley, InExeter’s markets manager says “We are delighted to be bringing two events to Exeter over one weekend. The weekend will be a chance for people to come together and support local businesses and communities. We want to highlight the exciting work of Exeter’s innovators and creatives as well as celebrate the cultural value that Exeter has.”
In addition to these events Sidwell Street’s Eastgate Market which launched on the 19th November continues to run weekly on Saturdays from 10am-4pm and The Fore St Flea will return on 6th March with its usual mix of independents, live music and street food.
