Redrow donated prize to Alphington School Fete helps raise £3,000
Local housebuilder Redrow donated a gift hamper and £100 voucher to Alphington Primary School for its annual summer fete. The donations were given to the school as prizes for the fete raffle, which was planned to raise money for new school equipment. The fete has been crowned a resounding success with £3,000 raised, half of which came from the highly appealing raffle which saw lucky winners receive £100 to spend in John Lewis and a hamper containing a selection of delicious gifts from M&S .
The fete raised money through a variety of other fun activities such as spin the wheel, a rally race course and other fair ground inspired stalls. Brilliant organisation, the raffle’s tempting prizes and a healthy dose of British sunshine meant a good time was had by all!
A spokesperson from Alphington School said, “The school fete is looked forward to every year by both parents and pupils alike, with the raffle being the main event. Donations like Redrow’s help to elevate the raffle encouraging more parents and teachers to get involved.”
A spokesperson from Redrow said, “It’s always a pleasure supporting school communities. Teaming up with local schools on their fundraising initiatives means that we get to see our local children thrive.”
Alphington School is located nearby Redrow’s St Michael’s Meadow development in Exeter. With its premium 3 and 4 bedroom homes, St Michael’s Meadow is perfectly located offering a balance between rural and city life. Whilst the development has easy access to the surrounding countryside it also has brilliant transport connections for commuters.
