Devon Wildlife Trust is a renowned charity dedicated to safeguard the future of the county’s urban, rural and marine wildlife and its environment. The Trust has been making a significant difference in Devon for 60 years and is the only Devon-focused Charity that exists to protect all wildlife in Devon, on land and at sea. Its commitment to protect our wildlife has garnered recognition and support from various organisations and individuals.
During the partnership, Bishop Fleming plans to raise an impressive target of £10,000 through joint fundraising activities over the next 12 months. These initiatives will include various events, activities and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) days.
Russell Luscombe – Fundraising Officer, Devon Wildlife Trust says “We have lost incredible amounts of our wildlife. Species which once thrived in Devon have gone; many others which were commonplace are now rare. We need urgent change. It is time to put nature into recovery. We need to restore what has been lost and we need to do this on a grand scale. Every penny we spend at Devon wildlife Trust supports Devon’s wildlife and wild places.”
According to Len Dean, Partner at Bishop Fleming, "We are delighted to have selected Devon Wildlife Trust as our Charity of the Year. Its unwavering dedication to protect the wildlife and nature in Devon around us is something so many of us at Bishop Fleming care deeply about, and we are eager to support its vital work. Through our joint fundraising activities, we hope to make a meaningful difference to help our local wildlife."
Amanda Strowger – Fundraising Manager, Devon Wildlife Trust, commented: “We can’t do our work alone. We need everyone to take action for nature where they live and work across Devon. That is why we are delighted to have the support of Bishop Fleming and to have been chosen as their Local Charity of the Year. We look forward to a wild year ahead with lots of great activities and actions for staff to help nature and wildlife. Thank you so much for your support.”
