Cassa Pancho's award-winning Ballet Black celebrates the talents of black and Asian dancers from around the world, and has garnered praise from all quarters, with recent accolades including a Critics' Circle National Dance Award nomination for Best Independent Company of 2012.

Having established a huge following in its first 10 years, Ballet Black is now an Associate Company of the Royal Opera House.

For their third visit to the Exeter Northcott Theatre, the company are delighted to present a mixed bill of premieres with exciting new work from up and coming choreographers: Ludovic Ondiviela (The Royal Ballet) with a specially composed score by Fabio D'andrea; Robert Binet (National Ballet of Canada); and world renowned dance maker Javier De Frutos.

British choreographer, Christopher Marney (Gothenburg Ballet, New Adventures) creates Ballet Black's newest story ballet, an episodic journey through relationships built during World War Two. Experience the loneliness of the women left behind, the aftermath of a soldier's turmoil, and the fun of the London dance halls set against the sights and sounds of the Blitz spirit.
