Get your wellies on for this year's Bogtastic!

Don't miss your chance to get properly wet and muddy at this year's Bogtastic! event on Exmoor on Friday 31 May.

The event features fun activities for all the family and the opportunity to visit a bog restored by the Exmoor Mires Project, as well as all-weather activities including stream-dipping, dam-making, crafts, undercover exhibitions, a sawmill tour and guided walks exploring the local nature and heritage.

Entrance is free, although there may be a small charge for some activities.

Please wear outdoor clothing (wellies advised.) Children must be accompanied. Toilets and food available.

Events are based at Simonsbath Sawmill (TA24 7SH, SS773393) and Blackpitts (TA24 7LB,SS 764415), 2km north of Simonsbath on the B3223.

The Exmoor Mires Project is jointly funded by South West Water, Natural England and the Environment Agency, and aims to re-wet upland bogs, slowing down water run-off, storing drinking water supplies and carbon and improving raw water quality, which in turn should make it cheaper for the water company to treat. These benefits can then be passed on to customers.

In 2014 South West Water will submit its business plan for the years ahead to the UK water industry regulator Ofwat. The company is inviting its customers to find out more and speak out about what they think priorities should be at www.southwestwater.co.uk/waterfuture
