This event is aimed at promoting the Samsung Bike Week and encouraging as many people to get on or get back on a bike for Sunday 23 June.

The day will start at 9am from the Double Locks Pub Garden, we will encourage people to park at the Canal Bridges car park and cycle to meet us. The ride will set off between 9am and 10am. A friendly team of staff from exeplore limited, the kayakhub and sustrans will be able to assist with cycling tuition and bike checks if required.

The route will follow the NCN route 34 to the Canal Bridges junction and then follow the NCN route 2 in the Dawlish direction towards Turf Locks.

When arriving at Turf, which has a very large garden and serves food and drink from 12 noon, people will be encouraged to sit and relax for a while. After some rest and relaxation the group can set off for the return trip via Canoe/Kayak if they wish*. (*Hired from The Kayakhub Exeter).

Upon returning to the Canal Bridges car park a BBQ will be catered for with a bike taxi on hand to ferry those too tired for the bike ride home to their doors.
