Trust in Cricket!
Exeter City Football Club Supporters’ Trust is pleased to announce that, following the success of last year's event, a T20 (20 overs) cricket match is scheduled to take place between Tis and the players and an Invitational XI of City supporters and sponsors. The match will take place on Wednesday 10 July at Topsham St James (Topsham rugby club, not to be confused with the University cricket field) at 5.30 pm.
Proceeds from the evening will be split between ‘Football in the Community’ and the Youth Academy – two excellent causes. If you would like to get involved as a player, places are available for £30, which includes a cricket tea. If not, there are plenty of other ways to contribute with other sponsorship opportunities and hospitality tables available in the marquee, as well as a bar, BBQ and a raffle with lots of City prizes. Admission is free but there is a £1 charge for car parking.
If you have children who would like to try out cricket, there will be a free taster session for all ages beginning at 4pm. Following the match there will be a ‘Questions and Answers’ session in the clubhouse, where Tis will preview the coming season.
So if you fancy trying to beat last year's top score of 29 runs set by John O’Flynn or want to take advantage of the hospitality on offer then contact David Evans at david.evans@exetercityfc.co.uk or 07823 871723 for all the details.
