Grassroots cricket team, Stoke Hill Junior School, are asking for their local community to vote for them to win the prize of a lifetime, the chance to attend a training session with England cricket legends.

Forty grassroots cricket teams all over the UK are competing to win the dream prize, which is part of the grassroots cricket campaign launched by premium home appliance brand AEG.

Stoke Hill Junior School has already won AEG’s Ultimate Kit and Laundry Package, which includes 11 bespoke Canterbury Cricket Kits and a top-of-the-range AEG washing machine in time for the start of the 2013 cricket season.

The prize includes the once in a lifetime chance to receive a visit from England legends at the Club and experience one-to-one coaching, picking up and taking away skills from cricket professionals at the top of their game.

Voting closes on 19 July and voters are automatically entered into a draw to win an all-expenses paid trip to the 5 star Forte Village resort in Sardinia.

Paul Nixon, a supporter of the AEG grassroots campaign, said: “Stoke Hill Junior School has five weeks to secure as many votes in the AEG Final 40 grassroots cricket competition as possible!

"This is an incredible opportunity for teams to not only meet and learn from the players they idolise, but also to be able to watch them in action. So what are you waiting for – cast your vote now!”

The opportunity is part of AEG’s ongoing commitment to support grassroots sports in the UK, which began by supporting rugby in early 2011 and has expanded into supporting cricket. More than 1000 kits have been supplied to grassroots teams and last year’s winners had the chance to train with ex-England players.
