The Exeter office of Brewin Dolphin, one of the UK’s largest independently owned private client wealth managers, announces a double celebration as two of their Investment Managers achieve exam success. Sean Priestley and Victoria Eastwood based in Pynes Hill jointly obtained their Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Financial Services Certificate, aimed at investment advisers, financial planners and those working in the banking sector.

The qualification provides an advanced understanding of Trust and Estate Planning in Investment Management as well as enabling candidates to liaise more effectively with solicitors and accountants. Successful completion of the four-month distance learning programme supports individuals looking for a more integrated approach to their work, by helping them to develop an awareness of legal, tax and investment issues.

Tim Walker, Divisional Director ─ Head of Office Brewin Dolphin Exeter says: “At Brewin Dolphin we recognise the importance of professional development and how it benefits the quality of service and expertise we offer our clients. I am, therefore, delighted that both Sean and Vicky have passed this important examination which will give them a greater understanding of the nature and formation of trusts and estates. It will also help them identify and help provide solutions for their clients with regards to estate planning.”
