More than 130 travel agents attended Exeter Airport’s annual showcase travel trade event on Thursday (November 21) to learn more about the airport’s exciting 2020 season.

The event was held in partnership with Exeter-based Flybe, which will rebrand as Virgin Connect next year, and included representatives from sister company Virgin Atlantic and more than 20 tour operators.

Exeter Airport is offering 36 international and domestic routes for 2020 and recently announced that it had passed the one million passenger milestone in the last 12 months.

With less than six months to go to the general release of Disney’s remake of The Little Mermaid, Cofton Holidays, which earlier this year launched mermaid and shark swimming lessons for children, is offering a new FIN fitness class, giving adults the opportunity to achieve a full-body tone up thanks to full-sized mono-fins.

Exeter School's National Trust concert - a night to remember!

For many Exeter School pupils, parents and National Trust supporters, the concert in aid of the National Trust in Exeter Cathedral is a highlight in the festive calendar. Blacksmith tradition returns for annual competition St Clement's Day at Finch Foundry

Blacksmiths from all over the South West are set to gather at the National Trust's Finch Foundry on Saturday 23 November. Once a year, they gather at the foundry to practice their art and celebrate their patron saint, Saint Clement, harking back to medieval tradition. The foundry, which is the last working water-powered forge in the country, will be the scene for the gathering, including a rare chance to see the spectacular 'firing of the anvil' and really see sparks fly.

Princesshay unveils Charity Christmas Tree Festival

The lights are switched on at Princesshay’s Charity Christmas Tree Festival as part of its first late night shopping evening on Thursday 21st November.

The Lord Mayor officially opened the Festival of charity trees located on Roman Walk and announced that Multiple Sclerosis Society charity won best dressed tree.
