On Saturday 16 November a local animal welfare and re-homing charity, ARC Animal Rescue Centre, will be holding a micro-chipping day at Chineway Road, Ottery St Mary.
Microchips will soon become a legal requirement for ALL dogs and we are planning to offer micro-chipping to all the dogs in the area, especially, but not exclusively, targeted at dogs that have been previously re-homed through ARC. This Christmas period has been tinged with sadness as new statistics released by the RSPCA reveal that three pets were abandoned every hour during the holiday period.
