BBC Radio Devon will be recording their annual Christmas carol service at Exeter Cathedral on Tuesday 17th December, and they are inviting the people of Exeter to come along and join them.

Flashmob to Flashdance in aid of Devon Community Foundation!

Devon Community Foundation is asking anyone who loves to dance, or who simply loves Devon, to get involved in a county-wide flashmob on Sunday 30 June to help raise funds for the charity.

BBC Radio Devon presenter David FitzGerald will be taking part in the Hospiscare Men’s Walk this month as part of his intense health and fitness campaign.

FitzGerald, who presents the interactive lunch, has been challenged by the BBC’s ‘Inside Out South West’ to take on a new healthier lifestyle. BBC Radio Devon to give cash to the Community

Devon Community Foundation is thrilled to announce that it is working with BBC Radio Devon to celebrate the station’s 30th Birthday by giving cash to the community! BBC Radio Devon Give a Gift, which launched on 21st January, aims to raise funds to make a difference in the county by giving cash gifts to local groups and organisations that need it most.

BBC Radio Devon’s ‘Test the County’ quiz packs at libraries

Devon County Council has teamed up with BBC Radio Devon to help make it easier for residents to take part in the station’s big ‘Test the County’ quiz and raise money for BBC Children in Need.

This year quiz packs, which cost just £6, are available to purchase from all 50 of Devon County Council’s Libraries, as well as by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope and a cheque to Radio Devon.

Test the County will start at 7pm on Thursday 17th January 2013 with the questions asked live on the radio by Judi Spiers.

RAMM all set for a Devon Tourism Award

Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum will join Devon’s other leading tourism businesses at this year’s Devon Tourism Awards. RAMM is poised to receive either a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Commended Award in the Visitor Attraction category.

MOUNCE Douglas

Passed peacefully away in the Exeter Hospice on 21 21 April 2013 aged 65.

He will be sadly missed by family, friends and colleagues.

A celebration of Douglas’s life will take place at the Exeter and Devon Crematorium (St Peter’s Chapel) on Thursday 2 May at 12.15pm.
